Ramon's Big Project

Ok, Ramon is officially incredible! The man literally taught himself to put tile backsplash up in our kitchen and did such a great job, I am so proud of him. It took him a couple of weeks but now that he knows how to do it, it will be even easier the next time. Check out the finished product! Great job, honey!

Day at the Park

The other day we decided to walk down to the neighborhood park. It was a cooler, more breezy day so we hung out at the playground for a little bit and Lexi of course found a tennis ball and was in heaven!

Cha Cha Cha Charmin!!!

The other day I was hanging clothes in my closet and noticed Chase being really quiet. Our closet is inside our bathroom so I looked around the corner to find this! Little stinker!!!

Chase's Birth

I am definitely not a pro at this so please don't laugh at my "movie making skills" or lack thereof. I stayed up all night doing this so it better count for something! This was one of the happiest days of our lives and we are so happy to share it with you! Enjoy!

"Love and best dishes ..."

..."from my kitchen ta yers!" as Paula Deen always says! We went and saw Paula Deen Live in Atlanta today and it was such a fun show! She is such a hoot! She is the type of person that will literally say ANYTHING out loud. She is not embarrassed and does not hold back by any means. But that's what I love about her. She laughed so hard about something and then tells the audience "I just peed in my britches!" then proceeds to talk about needing to wear pads because of this "peeing in her britches "ordeal. Her husband and her son Jamie were there as well and it was just really cool because she is so genuine and down-to-earth. People would yell her name from the crowd and she would say, "Yes, baby?" in her southern accent and then would answer almost every single question that was asked. This was in the huge Civic Center with 7,000 people! We laughed so hard and just really enjoyed ourselves. She made her famous Lady & Sons macaroni and cheese, fried pork chops, collard greens & corn bread. We didn't try the food but I've eaten at her restaurant in Savannah and I've tasted the macaroni & cheese and the corn bread and it is heavenly. I can't wait to try and make the mac & cheese at home!

So, Ramon always says "it doesn't hurt to ask". So after the show, since there wasn't a meet and greet Ramon asked a security guard how we could get to the backstage area. Good thing we had Chase with us because pretty much every person we talked to fell in love with Chase's smile and then let us in. We were standing in this hallway waiting to see if we could meet Paula. Around the corner walks in her son Jamie! He has a son that is just a couple months older than Chase so when he saw Chase his eyes lit up! He loved him and we got a picture! It was fun. Paula Deen's sons Bobby & Jamie have a show on Food Network and run their Mom's restaurant in Savannah. They are on Paula's show a lot too, they pretty much go everywhere with her. Anyway, Ramon asked if there was anything he could do for us to meet his mom and he told us that she had already left. :-( But I was still happy to meet Jamie. Ramon was right - it never hurts to ask!

Chase's New Obsession

Other than playing in Lexi's dog bowl, Chase has found something new to occupy his time. Opening and closing drawers. But not just opening and closing. Opening, pulling all the items out, then closing and doing it all over to the next drawer. I just need to teach him to put the stuff back and we'll be in business! He's so funny when I catch him. I say, "Chase, what are you up to?" and he just looks up and me and smiles sweetly. How can I get mad at this face??

Cousin Time

The other day I took Chase over to his cousin's house Taylor-16, Jordyn-14 & Justin-8 (my oldest brother's kids). Taylor wasn't there for too long - he left to see a movie with friends but Jordyn & Justin got some time to play with Chase. Justin is 8 and he was so cute with Chase. He kept wanting to give him his sippy cup, binky, and snacks. He even took Chase up to see his room! It was a fun little visit and I look forward to seeing them again soon!
