A Special Weekend

This weekend we drove up to KY to bless Landon. We waited so that we could do a "double blessing" with my brother & sister-in-law and their sweet baby girl Chloe who was born January 20th. It was perfect because my parents came out and it made for a very fun and memorable weekend. Ramon gave Landon a beautiful blessing that of course brought the water works on for me (always, I can't help it!). A sister in the ward was so sweet and wrote all that was said in the blessing down for us! I was so grateful she did that, I want to add it to Landon's baby book.

We also enjoyed a little swimming/hot tubbing at my parent's hotel. Chase was a little timid at first but ended up loving it. I'd like to get him in swimming lessons this year because I think he is really understanding concepts and would be able to pick up on it. Landon also got in the water with me and he loved every second of it! It makes me so excited for the pool this summer!

Ride or Die

... is pretty much the motto Ramon lives by. We got to have a fun little date night "vroom-vroom" style! It was so much fun and a little scary for me, I have to admit. His bike is so fast that if I didn't have a helmet on, my cheeks would be flapping in the wind like you see when people skydive. I loved it though and I can't wait to do it again. Notice Chase in the pics, he was so fascinated and didn't know what to think when he saw me with all my gear on. He just stared at me, it was too cute! He's used to seeing Dad but I think it was a little weird seeing Mommy with a helmet and jacket on.

Our Trip to Texas

I've been home almost a week and have just now had a moment to post while the boys are napping. The boys and I spent 9 days in Dallas, TX visiting my sister Jules and we had a blast! At the airport Chase kept screaming at the top of his lungs everytime he saw an airplane and made people stare. I kept having to give reassuring looks back saying I promise he is not being absued, he is just really, really excited. But they both did well on the plane. I had Landon in the Snugli and Chase walked beside me and was pretty good about staying by me.

Chase adored his cousins - especially Shelby my sister's youngest daughter who is almost 4. He is still talking about her. He & the kids played non-stop jumping on the trampoline, playing outside in the sprinklers (the weather was warm and gorgeous!) and snuggling in front of movies together at night. Jules & I had some quality sister/girl time together too which goes without saying was my favorite part of the visit. We went and saw a couple movies, ordered take out from Pei Wei (they have the BEST lettuce wraps and edamame!!), we stayed up late eating junk food, watching The Bachelor, (which needs to be an entirely different post all together but not sure I will go there) and just talked and talked ... and talked. My 15 year old niece Jordyn who is living with my sister right now was so much fun and made me feel young again! I know I'm only 26 but with 2 children and all the responsibilities that go with them, I sometimes feel much older.

I also took the boys to see their great grandparents "Tata & Abuelita". We ate a yummy meal and hung out over at their house for a few hours. I figured they would love seeing the boys and they couldn't get enough of them! Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip of the 200+ that were taken.
