Playing Together

I find Chase in Landon's crib with him quite a bit. Turns out these boys are crazy about eachother and love playing together. I got this video of Chase jumping in the crib and Landon's deep belly laugh!

Two in One Day

Last week we decided to take Chase to the Children's Museum. We had never been before and it was fun but it wasn't spectacular. Definitely not worth investing in an annual pass but fun for this once. Chase was a little timid at first and wasn't sure where to go or what to do so we kinda had to show him everything and then towards the end we said lets just let him go and do his thing and of course, his favorite was playing with the ball machines! Landon did well with the exception of a diaper blowout when we first got there. Do you remember my last post about his huge blowout? Its ALWAYS when we go out in public to places like this that this happens. Thank goodness for extra diapers, wipes and a change of clothes on these occasions otherwise I would be toting around a naked baby everywhere. So since the museum wasn't mind-blowing, we decided to shoot over to the GA Aquarium since we have passes. That made the trip more worth while. Chase loved it the second time and so did we.

Fishing for duckies but not really ...
Watching some crazy dude in a dinosaur costume sing and dance around

Getting ready to paint (Ramon had to chase (haha) him down to get the apron on)

I think our fingerpainting the day before really paid off!

Making a B line towards Deepo the fish

Fingerpainting

I decided to try finger paints for Chase. Believe it or not, he hasn't fingerpainted up until now and its mostly because he freaks out over anything being on his hands. On his first birthday when I made him dig into his cake he started crying to get the frosting off his hands and has pretty much been that way about anything on him ever since. Where is the messy, play in the dirt and mud boy I thought I would have? And wait, why am I even asking that? No complaints outta me for getting a clean and orderly child. I can only hope it will last!

Our finished masterpieces

I think I'm going to frame these and hang them up in his playroom!
Landon had fun too

Lexi & Me

I watched the movie Marley & Me for the second time but with Ramon (first time it was by myself). I was surprised to see Ramon emotional over it! Me on the other hand, I was sobbing my eyes out - even the second time, but that's a given.

The movie made me look at Lexi, our sweet 5 year old Golden Retriever and the love and joy she has brought us. When we got Lexi, she was just 6 weeks old and Ramon and I were newly married. We lived off of $20 for two weeks after we purchased her and all the expensive puppy stuff that went with her. We brought her everywhere with us. She would lay in my lap in the car as a puppy. I would count down the hours and minutes while I was away until I could go home and play with her. She was the beginning of our new little family and has been there with us through it all. If I had one word to describe Lexi, it would be LOYALTY. She will always be a part of our family, even when (gulp!) she decides to leave us and go to heaven.

"A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?"
**Note - sorry the pictures are out of chronological order. It wouldn't let me move them around. I captioned them though.
