28 Weeks!

Getting pretty large and in charge these days. I have officially entered the last trimester and I'm already feeling it. Exhaustion, back aches, Braxton Hicks contractions .... lovin' it. 11 weeks left! PS - Please excuse my dirty bathroom mirror and my no make-up. I am lucky to have a shirt that cute and my hair straight these days. I normally prefer a baggy tee of Ramon's and my hair greasy and on top of my head.

One Day ...

.... I'll regret not taking more pregnancy photos. So here goes (with a complete lack of enthusiasm on my part by the way) but at least I'm doing it. I can't believe only 14 weeks remain until I get to my meet my baby girl. She needs to get here already so I can stop staring at all the cute clothes I have for her with no baby in them!

Landon's Surgery Part II

Landon underwent another surgery for the Thyroglossal Duct cyst on his neck January 28th. This time the surgery was a bit more extensive and he was kept overnight at Children's at Emory in Atlanta. We are very hopeful that this is his last surgery. A Momma's heart can only take so much. He did awesome in recovery and was back to his regular self the following day playing and laughing as usual.

Right after he woke up

Day 2 - get this IV off!

Chase loved being at the hospital and being a part of everything going on.
The experience I think brought Chase & Landon closer. Chase would climb onto his bed and was the only one that could make him laugh. They would laugh and play in the bed and it was so precious to watch the two of them together. Landon was happy to have to his big brother there and so were we.

Get Ready for PINK, People!!

I can't believe I forgot to add this teensy little piece of info about our family.

#1, I am pregnant. Again. By now, pretty pregnant. 6 months pregnant. And what else? IT'S A GIRL!!!

When I went in for the ultrasound of course I thought it could go either way (duh, its a 50/50 shot) but while a part of me was hoping for a girl and wanted a girl, I had it in my brain that it was a boy. We would have 3 boys. I was going to be a 'Football Mom'. Plain and simple. I had sort of gotten used to that idea. When the technician said girl, I froze. A moment of absolute shock and then, bring on the tears! A flood of emotions came through me. I just couldn't believe it was true. We were going to have our little princess! I can't explain how thrilled we all are. The boys are always talking about their baby sister. Landon points to my belly and says, "baby sister". We are overjoyed. She is due May 22nd and we can't WAIT to meet her. :)

San Francisco + Sisters = BEST TIME EVER!

I got to spend 4 days in San Francisco with two of the most special people in my life - my sisters! We haven't had a weekend away JUST US in over 10 years!!! After this weekend, it will now be an annual event. We had the best time relaxing, eating some of the best food the West coast has to offer, and talking and laughing until 3 am every night. I am so grateful for my sisters and our precious relationships. They have and always will be women I admire and I am so honored to be their sister.

**Side note - I love to take pictures of FOOD so don't mind the close up shots of some of our greatest indulgences on the trip.

We stayed at the W Hotel right downtown - this was our view!

Tsnownami

5 inches!!!! This really is a "tsnownami" for the dirty south. School was cancelled for a full week and we were snowed in for a solid 3 days. We still managed to brave it (or crazy it) and hit the snow/ice covered roads to take the kids sledding. It was successful. A complete blast.

A Little "Usher" Never Hurts

It probably wouldn't be a surprise to anyone that my boys love music - mostly Pop and Hip-Hop since I am their Mom (hello). We always have a blast singing and dancing in the car and every morning while getting ready. I decided to sign Chase up for a Tot-Hop class. Since soccer season hasn't begun and he isn't in school yet I thought it would be a fun little extra activity for him to look forward to each week. He absolutely LOVES every minute. He is the only boy in the class. His recital is in May and he will be in jeans and a hoodie while the girls in cute little one-piece boy short outfits. I can't wait to see him perform. He loves to practice his moves and "perform" for Dad & I all the time. I tried to upload the video but it was too large. I'll see if I can condense it and add it later.

Fa La La La La 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. Just a quiet day with our little family and it was perfection. Atlanta had its first Christmas Day snow in like 100 years so a white Christmas = awesomeness. Dad & Chase went sledding and made a snow man and had a blast together while sick Landon & I stayed inside. I also took the boys to the mall like I do every year to get their picture taken with Santa. Chase was in heaven and told Santa he wanted the "Chipette's movie" (Chipmunks the Squeakquel) and Landon on the other hand was not thrilled to be on Santa's lap. He had the exact same reaction Chase did 2 years ago at age 2. Hilarious.
