Today while I was out running errands Ramon called me telling me I needed to come home. I could hear Chase crying in the background so I knew it was something serious. Before I could even ask what happened, he told me he is probably going to need stitches. My stomach dropped. In a panic I asked WHAT HAPPENED?!?! He told me he was on the stairs (towards the bottom) and he was holding onto a piece of paper at the same time so he thinks he wasn't using his hands to go down the stairs and he ended up falling and hitting his left eyebrow on the corner of the banister! Although Ramon didn't see it happen, he had seen him playing on the stairs with the paper and figured that's probably how it happened. When I came home, there he was in Ramon's arms with a bloody gash above his eye! Poor little guy! The funny thing was, he was still the same Chase he always is. Ramon said he cried for about 30 seconds and then was back to playing and smiling. You'll even see from the pictures we took of him right after it happened. He was still posing for the camera, little stinker!
After a call to Chase's doc, he told us to take him to Kennestone Pediatric ER. After 5 hours of waiting, Chase got his first 3 stitches and he did so good! The doctor said she wished they were all as good as he was. Here are some pics, sorry they are a little graphic. I'll post more of his actual stitches. Our camera battery ran out.

Smiling big just minutes after the accident! We call this the "nose crunch" smile. Its the one he does when he is posing for the camera.
Another "nose crunch" in the doc's office
I get the willies just looking at it! Poor thing!!

What a sweet boy! I'm always surprised by how resilient the little guys are. I'm so glad he's ok!!
So sorry Lis! He sure is a tough little guy!
Oh that last one is just so sad. His whole head is wrapped. His first battle story with a story to tell.
